There are bunnies at this patch

We call our home the Bunny Patch. It came about one day when my daughter was trying to name her pretend restaurant. It seemed like an obvious choice because we live with three house bunnies. Many days it feels like we are living in a bunny patch instead of the bunnies living in a house. They have become respected and loved members of our family. Welcome to our Bunny Patch.

This is Horatio. He is our oldest bunny at nearly 12 years old. He was a rescue bun. We found him in our front yard. Some neighbors apparently released him into the "wild" when they moved. He is a quiet bunny, doesn't like to be fussed over, but very sweet.

Horatio's life changed dramatically when we adopted our farm girl bunny, Thoreau. She is a 9 year old Harlequin rabbit. She and Horatio are a bonded pair now. She is a mischievous, caring bunny. She cleans Horatio daily and keeps him warm.

And the newest member is Tux. He is also a rescue bun. He was living "wild" in a friends backyard for several months before winter started. My friend called me to try to catch him because she was concerned about him not surviving. We think he is 1 year old. Tux is our snuggle bunny, loves to be with people and petted frequently. He is very spoiled because he is the only one of the three that will let me pick him up.
